Earth Day Canada at the CN Tower’s Horizon Lounge

Lastnight attendees enjoyed sensational views of Toronto from the CN Tower Horizons Lounge, all in support of Earth Day Canada’s year-round environmental education programs. The event featured fruits and cheeses, a cash bar, as well as an Earth Day Canada cake. There were approximately 150 people in attendance, all there to show their support for Earth Day Canada as well as network with like minded people

Earth Day Canada @ CN Tower

The event has been dubbed “The highest green drinks networking event world” because the event was held at the top of the CN Tower. However the highlight of the night was when the CN Tower was lit with green LED lighting from 7:30 to 10:30 pm, and renewable energy was provided by Bullfrog power.

How to make Vegan S’mores

Ingredients:
18 whole graham crackers
1 cup of slow cooked oats
6 Tbsp of coconut sugar or organic sugar
4 Tbsp of earth balance, melted
6 Tbsp of plain coconut yogurt
1/4 tsp of salt
1 Tbsp of vanilla extract – try to find organic if you can
2/3 cup of vegan chocolate chips
1 bag of vegan marshmallows

Vegan S’mores Directions:

Vegan S’mores Crust:

Preheat your oven to 350º and grease a muffin pan.

Within a food processor blend together the graham crackers and oats till they may be finely ground. Include in the relaxation with the substances and blend right up until a moist crumb forms. I ordinarily quit as soon as it will start developing right into a ball. Utilize a muffin pan and press the mixture into each cup making sure to go many of the way up the sides, which means you are developing a “cup”. Try out and allow it to be as slim as you possibly can.

Bake for around quarter-hour. Get the cups away from the oven and fill each individual cup with some of the chocolate chips, put it back within the oven for about 5-7 minutes so they are to some degree melted. Acquire it out yet again, and add the “dandies” on best. Set it back again inside the oven for around 15-20 minutes, based on how cooked you like your marshmallows. Allow the vegan s’mores to neat down, take out them from your tins and serve.

Dough pressed down to form cups in a muffin tin.

Steve-O of MTV’s Jackass is a vegan… yes it is true!

Steve-O kicked began his drug rehab and switched to a vegan diet. He then kicked his drug habit and started to realize how much better he was feeling and converted to becoming a vegan full time – more than just a dietary change, but a lifestyle change.

Steve, like most medical experts, are convinced that for the overwhelming majority of cases of cancer, heart disease, diabetes, obesity, multiple sclerosis, and all kinds of other problems – meat is the culprit.

Steve O Ambassador for Animals?

The hard-partier/prankster Steve-O has turned his life. He’s clean and sober now, a hardcore vegan and PETA supporter, and when he acts like a jackass these days, it’s on animal right protests!
